Technique Boutique with Liz

You will make a two-page layout, a card and a special project every month in this technique class. Liz breaks out the newest products or even products you might have your stash and have been wondering how to use them! She will also teach new ways to use, bend, fold, crinkle, and have fun with your paper to create fun texture. Every month is a different creative adventure with Liz.

You will do the following techniques:

• White Pen for Stitching
• Paper Piercing
• Paper Folding
• Punching

Call for Design Team Members

Calling all designers - Remember When is starting a design team! We’re looking for scrapbookers, cardmakers, papercrafters, mixed media artists & all-around creative people to help inspire all of us. Do you love creating with the latest & greatest products? Do you love being the first to try out new tools & techniques? If so, we’d love to have you join us… check out all of the information below – act quickly though, all submissions need to be turned in by Sunday, February 7th! We can’t wait to see your creations!

DESIGN TEAM REQUIREMENTS

• Attend monthly DT meeting at Remember When 
• Design & host make-n-takes / technique demos for store events & crops
• Create samples for in-store displays (1-2 per month)
• Participate in monthly DT challenge (to be displayed in-store & online)
• Social Media outreach on behalf of Remember When

• Create a scrapbook layout (can be one or two pages) with the theme “What Inspires Me”. We’re looking for creativity, visual appeal & innovative techniques. Please keep in mind that these layouts may be displayed in the store – be sure to use strong adhesive & secure all embellishments.
  
• Print photos or color copies of your 3 favorite projects (that you’ve designed & created) that best show off your personal artistic style. These projects can be layouts, mini albums, cards, home décor, and/or altered items – there are no boundaries here, we just want to see your talents & skills on display!
  
• Fill out the application located here: Design Team Application
  
• Package everything together carefully (please make sure to write your name on all elements) - drop everything off @ Remember When by closing time on Sunday, February 7, 2010

Resolutions 2010...
Okay, I'm back from Ireland (it was really grand!) and am ready to sit down and make New Years Resolutions. I could resolve to do something normal and boring, but why? This year I'm resolving to expand my CREATIVE horizons. To learn more. To create more. To eat more chocolate and laugh more with friends. Sound good? Join me!! :)

Friday Night Crops:
Zowie! The Friday night crop is sold out this week! If you are planning on coming to a crop, make sure you reserve your space ahead of time so that you can be sure to join us for the fun. This is a NEW YEAR which means that we now have a Midnight Crop every Friday evening from 3 p.m. to midnight. The cost is only $15 ; it is the place to be on Friday nights.

Heidi Swapp Glimmer Mist is out and on the shelves and absolutely gorgeous. My favorite is Silver Sugar. Electric Blue is super fun too. Oh wait, Black Magic and Viva Pink are must-haves. You can't go wrong with any of Heidi's favorites!
