Hello everyone! I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to this weekend's Save the Tatas event where we are raising money for the Susan G Komen Fight for the Cure. As women, we are all affected by breast cancer. Whether it is ourselves, or someone we love, fighting the battle. We invite you, even if you are not cropping, to come join us on Saturday. We'll be donating 10% of our sales that day. We will also be having silent auctions and raffles that you can participate in to help raise money.
We're asking for hand-made items as donations for these events - thank you to those that have already donated! If you would like to donate, simply drop your project off at the store. We will also have a mini-album by Marion Smith (it is gorgeous!!) and an autographed book from Tim Holtz among the items available for silent auction. It is going to be a special event and I look forward to sharing the day with you.
Okay, drumroll please!! On this Sunday, September 19th at 12:00 noon, we are opening registration for our next two crops, the Trick or Treat Crop and the Anniversary Crop. We're changing how we do things a little bit and I just want to give y'all a heads up. First of all, we will be processing in-store signups before we answer the phone for crop signups. Also, the maximum spots that one person will be able to purchase is four spots. We appreciate you understanding these changes and we can't wait to share our future events with you!
Trick or Treat Crop : October 16, 2010 - 8 a.m. - midnight - $35I love Halloween... the costumes, the fanfare, pranks and treats! It's all good and all fun! Join us as we break out for a Halloween celebration Remember When style! We'll be having a costume contest (you heard it!!) lunch, games & prizes, a fun project, make & takes, 10% off all regularly priced merchandise. We're going to be doing an embellishment swap at this crop. If you would like to participate, make up 5 embellishment bags that each have in it 1 yard of ribbon, 10 buttons or brads, and one thing that will make us smile and ooh and ahh! While I'm not local to your store, do you know that September is actually Childhood Cancer month? I love how well pink is recongizned but would love to see business and people realize September is for children. Could you mention that to your croppers too? :)
My 6 year old daughter is a survivor and after her dx in 2007 at the age of three, I realize how many people don't know about childhood cancer.
Thanks for letting me tell you!
